Satya Nadella
Satya Nadella is an Indian-American business executive and the current CEO of Microsoft Corporation, one of the world's largest technology companies. He was born on August 19, 1967, in Hyderabad, India.
Nadella graduated from the Manipal Institute of Technology in 1988 with a degree in electrical engineering. He then went on to earn a master's degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992 and has held several positions within the company, including senior vice president of research and development for the company's online services division, and executive vice president of Microsoft's Cloud and Enterprise group. In 2014, he was appointed CEO of Microsoft, becoming the third CEO in the company's history after Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.
Under Nadella's leadership, Microsoft has undergone a significant transformation, with a focus on cloud computing and artificial intelligence. He has led the company's efforts to become a major player in the cloud computing market, and has overseen the development of several new products, including the Microsoft Surface and the HoloLens.
Nadella is also known for his commitment to diversity and inclusion, both within Microsoft and in the broader technology industry. He has spoken publicly about the need for the tech industry to be more inclusive, and has worked to increase the representation of women and people of color in leadership positions at Microsoft.
